mission
We believe that financial planning services should be available to everyone who needs them, not just to those individuals who have a million dollar portfolio minimum to manage, and that everyone deserves the opportunity to qualify for those minimums one day.  We bill on an hourly basis with no minimums.  Initial consultations are free.
objectivity
We don’t sell investments, insurance, tax preparation services, or any other financial product or service.  We are compensated only by the fees from our clients.
expertise
We provide a broad range of financial planning services, but are especially well versed on the approaches to retirement planning and retirement plan execution.

A financial planner is often thought of as someone who will review all aspects of your finances from budgeting to investing to estate planning and will develop a comprehensive plan to help you meet the major financial objectives of your life.  While that is a service that nearly all financial planners provide, a financial planner is just as likely to be needed to help with a fairly specific planning issue, like planning for college, planning for retirement that may be long overdue, or reorganizing finances after divorce or the loss of a spouse.  Any major life change is a good reason to review your financial situation and goals, which may in turn reveal the need for a more comprehensive review and planning.

Perhaps you already have a stockbroker you like, or a CPA who does a great job on your taxes, or maybe you recently needed to speak with an estate attorney.  With all that expertise already at your disposal, why add a financial planner?  Tax preparers tend to focus on income taxes and may make recommendations that don’t consider your estate plan or your investment approach.  Estate attorneys may focus on reducing estate taxes at the expense of your immediate income tax situation or your budget needs. A financial planner can add value by taking the broad view and coordinating the perspective and recommendations of these experts to meet your overall financial needs.
